Crescent Textile Solutions is a manufacturer of woolen-spun yarns located on the western shore of Lake Michigan in beautiful Two Rivers, WI. Fibers converted into yarns by Crescent Textile Solutions include wool, alpaca, angora, nylon, acrylic, polyester, Nomex, Kevlar and Kanecaron mod acrylic. Our technical staff regularly participate in the research and development efforts of our customers to understand their needs and provide guidance in making material recommendations.

The Twisting Machine Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring twister, winder, and automatic doubler machines to ensure consistent output.

Work Schedule
:
Monday - Thursday, 5:00 AM - 3:00 PM

• Operate twister, winder, and automatic doubler machines
• Follow instructions on how to construct a finished product
• Read yarn tickets to ensure the proper yarn is used
• Record work performed on yarn ticket form
• Watch for end breaks and retie ends when needed
• Restart sections that are not running
• Place full bobbins onto creels
• Package (box) cones and put full boxes on strapping racks
• Sticker cones for proper identification
• Keep accurate records for daily production time sheets and yarn tickets
• Inform supervisor when computer programming is required
• Keep machine clean and free from waste material at all times
• Notify shift supervisor immediately when quality problems are detected
• Use appropriate safety equipment and notify shift supervisor immediately of any hazards detected, any near miss accidents and any accidents
• Perform other duties as assigned or directed

• Must be dependable with excellent attendance

• Must be mechanically inclined
• Previous experience with circular knitting machines a plus
• Strong attention to detail
• Good basic math skills
• Must be punctual and reliable
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English

• HS degree or GED preferred
• Past manufacturing experience preferred

• Frequent bending/stooping, squatting, reaching above shoulder level, crouching and lifting (up to 60 lbs)
• Continual walking in a relatively confined area is required
• Frequent standing at floor level and above floor level on equipment
• Coordination of skills performed at heights no greater than three feet
• Exposure to extremes (90º
  
  F) in temperature
• Good vision is required, 20/20 or corrected to 20/20
• Frequent and continuous use of hands and arms
• Employees with sensitivities to dust may be exposed to airborne dust, silk and synthetic fibers and are encouraged to wear a mask to help filter out airborne fiber.
