General

Summary:

The Associate Engineer will assist project teams to create high-quality designs for new projects, alterations, and redevelopments on a variety of projects including electrical distribution, transmission, and substation design. The Associate Engineer will work with the project team throughout the design and construction process, adapting electrical plans according to budget constraints, design factors, and client needs.

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must currently be eligible to work in the United States of America.
• High School Graduate or GED, documentation required.
• Engineering degree, from an ABET-accredited university.
• Successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) is strongly preferred.
• Basic knowledge of standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment and demonstrated critical thinking skills.
• Proficient computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite)
• Basic computer skills include AutoCAD, Micro Station, 2D, and 3D rendering programs, and other analysis programs.
• Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
