Mechanical Designer

We are seeking a Mechanical Designer to join our team in Tyler, TX. The Mechanical Designer will study plans for upcoming generations of engine models, develop strategies for improving upon current models, design products using CAD, and consult with engineering and manufacturing teammates to ensure that designs are feasible.

The Mechanical Designer will be responsible for calculating cost estimates for final product designs, releasing reports to supervisors, incorporating costs of labor, material, delivery, and overhead, and consulting with fabrication teams during product manufacturing, advising them on design specifications and providing physical assistance.

• Creating and revising models, drawings, and bills of materials for rotating equipment parts and assemblies
• Interfacing daily with Design Team members, Project Managers, and shop and Q.C. personnel

• 2-year Degree in Drafting Technology/Engineering Graphics a plus but not required
• 4000+ hours of experience and ability to read Solidworks experience (Required)
• Experience with design tables, weldments, and routing within Solid Works a plus
• Solid Works Certifications a plus (CSWA, CSWP, etc.)
• PC literate; typically, MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Flexible, adaptable, self-motivated, and willing to learn

  Ability to sit using a computer for extended periods of time
