Engine Builder:
This position is very detail-oriented, hands on and labor intensive. Engine Builders are responsible for assembling all the components of the engine using basic hand tools such as impact and sockets, hammers, screwdrivers and wrenches. Engine Builders must be process oriented and willing to follow an established procedure.
Engine Builders are responsible for carefully cleaning and inspecting components, such as, crankshafts, connecting rods, and camshafts prior to assembly. Engine Builders must be able to identify and correct problems that might arise during the assembly process.
After assembling the engine, Engine Builders are responsible for testing the completed unit on a QT-188 Simstest machine.
