Director of Nursing Cardiovascular Services
LOCATION: Tyler, Texas
HOSPITAL: 500 Bed Acute Care Hospital
SALARY: $90,729 to $140,608
Bonus Eligible
IDEAL CANDIDATE- Ideal candidate will have a BSN and at least 2 years of leadership experience in cardiovascular services (charge nurse/nurse manager/director of nursing) leading VAD/LVAD and ECMO programs.
- If VAD/LVAD or ECMO is missing, candidate will not be considered.

- This opportunity will help build and lead a rapidly expanding Cardiovascular Nursing program. This leadership role oversees CV‑ICU, Heart Failure, and Med/Surg units, with new VAD and ECMO programs launching in the next year.
- You’ll collaborate closely with an exceptional physician team — world‑renowned cardiothoracic surgeons.

- The nurse director is a professional registered nurse with twenty‑four‑hour responsibility for assigned departments within established standards to achieve the mission and vision of the organization.
- The nursing director is responsible for overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the unit/departments and executes supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
- The nurse director provides leadership and mentorship in the development of leaders and staff.
- The nurse director is responsible for monitoring and evaluating quality, patient satisfaction, and employee satisfaction outcomes to implement strategies for improvement.
- The nurse director is a change agent and will establish strong collaborative relationships with physicians.
- Responsible for overall administrative, financial, and clinical activities of assigned departments.
- Bachelor’s in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
- Master’s Degree in Nursing or within 2 years.
- Current RN license or license deemed acceptable by the applicable State Board of Nursing.
- LVAD/VAD experience.
- ECMO experience.
- Minimum of five (or 3‑5) years’ clinical nursing experience, of which 2 years must have been in a management capacity.
