Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with neuro ICU background and Epic charting skills for a day shift Neuro ICU assignment in Texas.
Responsibilities- Work in a Neuro ICU unit with a 16-bed capacity and 14 rooms
- Day shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts weekly, 7:00-19:00
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Floating required to ICU, IMC, and Tele units as needed
- Uses Epic EMR, with prior Epic experience required
- Former permanent staff must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Travel pairs or groups are not accepted for this assignment
- Candidates residing within 50 miles or in specified counties are not eligible
- No more than 3 days of requested time off will be automatically approved
- No time off permitted during the first week of orientation
- Active TX or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of neuro ICU nursing experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Epic charting experience required
