American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift position requiring at least 2 years of L&D experience and prior travel assignment experience.

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital with 100-200 births per month
• Also supports Antepartum, High Risk Antepartum, LDRP, and Mother/Baby areas
• Patient ratios:
  Labor 1:2, Antepartum 1:3, Mother/Baby 1:3
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 18:00 to 6:00
• 36 or 48 hour schedule options available
• Uses Epic charting system
• Responsibilities include labor and delivery management, fetal monitoring, C-section circulation and recovery, and newborn care

• Active TX or compact RN license required in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
• Epic charting experience required
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Skilled in fetal monitoring, IV therapy, high-risk delivery assistance, and postpartum care

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Travel pairs or groups are not accepted
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted as locals
• Travelers from Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris counties will not be contracted
• Former staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of consideration
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
• Must complete core onboarding items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
• Onboarding modules are completed onsite during orientation
