American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care (IMC) position requiring prior travel experience and TX or compact RN licensure.

• Intermediate Care (IMC)/Stepdown unit setting
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM)
• Weekend shifts required
• Floating required
• Uses Epic charting system

• Active TX or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Prior charge nurse experience preferred
• Trauma Level I hospital experience preferred
• Experience with IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, and blood product administration
• Respiratory care skills including BiPAP/CPAP, ventilator, and tracheostomy management preferred
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and telemetry
• Wound care and isolation precaution/PPE knowledge required

• Provide direct care to patients in a stepdown/IMC setting including cardiac, neurological, respiratory, and post-surgical cases
• Support rapid response and code team interventions as needed
• Candidates residing in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris counties will not be considered
• Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Former staff members must wait one year before returning as a traveler
• No travel pairs or groups accepted
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted in advance; no more than 3 days will be auto-approved and none during the first week of orientation
• Core onboarding items and labs must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
• Orientation includes onsite completion of required training modules
