Veterinarian at Pet Veterinary Clinic

Full-time New graduates and experienced veterinarians welcome Base salary starting at $110,000 plus production

We’re proud of the practice we’ve built at Pet Veterinary Clinic, and we’re looking for an associate veterinarian to join us in caring for the dogs and cats of Tyler.

Whether you’re starting your veterinary career or bringing years of experience, we’d like to hear what you’re looking for in your next practice. We value thoughtful medicine, clear conversations with clients, and colleagues who treat one another well.

Our clinic is located in the Ridge Shopping Center in South Tyler. We focus exclusively on dogs and cats, with equipment and space that support small animal medicine, surgery, and dentistry:

• Three exam rooms
• A dedicated surgery suite
• Digital radiography and ultrasound
• An in-house laboratory
• Dental equipment
• AVImark practice management software

As an associate, you’ll care for patients, help owners understand their pets’ health and treatment options, and work alongside our patient care team. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work and wants to contribute to the practice and the relationships we’ve built with our clients.

Our base salary starts at $110,000 annually for a new graduate, with a higher base salary for veterinarians with more experience. Production compensation is paid in addition to your base salary.

• Health insurance allowance
• 401(k)
• Continuing education allowance
• Paid time off
• Payment of professional membership and license fees
• Sign-on, relocation, and longevity bonuses
• Temporary housing available for new associates

This opening is for an associate veterinarian. For someone interested in ownership down the road, there is also a future opportunity to discuss buying into the practice. Timing and terms would be determined by mutual agreement.

Our appointment hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with an hour for lunch, and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The associate’s weekly work schedule and Saturday responsibilities will be discussed during the interview process.

There’s plenty to enjoy outside the clinic, especially if you like spending time outdoors. Tyler State Park offers more than 13 miles of trail through the East Texas Pineywoods, along with a spring-fed lake for swimming, fishing, and paddling. Whether your idea of a good day off is a hike, an afternoon on the water, or a camping trip, you’ll have options close to home.

For associates relocating to the area, our temporary housing option can help you get settled while you find your place in the community.

We welcome applications from both new graduates and experienced veterinarians. Candidates should have:

• A DVM or equivalent veterinary degree
• An active Texas veterinary license, or the ability to obtain one before beginning practice
• An interest in small animal medicine
• A thoughtful approach to patient care and client communication
• A willingness to work collaboratively with the clinic team

We’d like to get to know you, hear about your interests, and talk about how an associate position at Pet Veterinary Clinic could fit your next step.
