Overview
Full-Time Retail Sales Associate to join our Team. Pay rate: $11.00 to $14.00 per hour. We offer a commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $1.00 per hour on top of your hourly rate.
We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the store team to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions. The role involves engaging with customers and assisting with inquiries and problem resolution across a wide variety of jewelry, general merchandise, tools, electronics, and, in FFL locations, firearms.
Responsibilities- Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and provide appropriate financial solutions.
- Performs non-management open/close procedures.
- Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise displays.
- Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Handles cash and negotiable items in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements.
- Answers incoming calls per company standards.
- Explains the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
- Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, showing respect and using effective communication tools.
- Collaborates with all employees to create a positive customer experience.
- Completes assigned training successfully.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified (as applicable).
- Must be able to work at exterior locations or retrieve products stored in exterior storage areas as required.
- Minimum Age: 18 years old
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team-oriented.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
- Cash handling experience is preferred.
- Ability to work in multiple locations as needed.
- Flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission, based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Applicants are provided with more details regarding the commission incentive plan during the interview process.
