* Job Summary:

** Provides armed security on assigned Company properties. Performs uniformed security shift work and assists with investigations as directed by management.
*
* Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

*** Provides armed physical security and at assigned locations.
* Assists with security training and internal investigations.
* Monitors safety and security equipment and processes.
* Assists with providing on-site training for newly assigned security officers.
* Responsible for filling position vacancies/working flexible shifts due to scheduling conflicts.
* Responsible for the use, maintenance of, and response to security alarms and other security systems at distribution centers.
* Monitors and controls vehicular and pedestrian access and traffic at non-retail locations.
* Complies with state and private security and safety regulations.

* Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

*** Basic knowledge of the warehouse communications system.
* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
* Ability to pass post-offer medical evaluation including but not limited to medical background check, vision test, hearing test, physical agility test, etc. for job related tasks.
* Ability to demonstrate how to safely operate a firearm.
* Ability to comprehend and interpret information.
* Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.
* Ability to research information, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
* Ability to learn new technology systems, methods and processes.
* Ability to reason, form concepts and recognize and solve problems.
* Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
* Ability to occasionally travel to off-site and out-of-town locations with possible overnight stays.
* Ability to work on-call and flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.
* May be required to drive in accordance with the BGC Driver policy.
* Must report any potential hazards that cannot be immediately remedied to a supervisor.
** Education,

Experience and Qualifications:

*** High School Diploma or GED required.
* Two or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and higher education preferred.
* Valid state driver's license required.
* Minimum of 21 years of age required.
* Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business in accordance with the BGC Business Driver Policy.
