Playground/Shade Installer – Tyler, TX

Overview

Our growing company is looking for a hard-working and skilled construction worker to help bring our construction plans to life. Under the construction manager’s direction, you will work alongside a team of other skilled laborers and tradesmen, and apply your knowledge of construction methods, tools, and equipment to keep the project on track. You must have previous construction experience (we will train you how to build playgrounds), an OSHA
10 card (preferred but not required), and a strong work ethic and physical stamina.

Responsibilities

Adhere to all health and safety regulations on-site to ensure that you and your team members are not injured
Unload and stack all building materials and tools needed for a project so that everything is accessible and easy to find
Support tradespeople and heavy equipment workers to complete plumbing, electrical, roofing and other aspects of the project
Ensure that all materials, tools and debris from the build are removed at the end of the project to keep the site clean
Dispose of debris, trash, or hazardous materials found on the site to prepare for construction starts

Qualifications

Carry a valid driver’s license
Some experience with construction equipment, forklift, hand tools, and power tools is highly preferred
Ability to follow directions and complete tasks both independently and on a team
Physical agility, solid hand-eye coordination, and good balance
High school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge of basic engineering and construction laborer methods preferred, but training will be provided
