Responsibilities- Safely and efficiently provide the manual labor required to operate equipment on the drilling rig floor.
- Operate tongs and use drilling slips to assemble and disassemble drilling pipe and collars.
- Operate hoists to raise and lower equipment and personnel.
- Use hand tools, sledge hammers, and large pipe wrenches to maintain and repair equipment.
- Participate in repairing, maintaining, and cleaning rig equipment, including chipping, painting, moving equipment, mixing chemicals, and greasing, oiling, and washing equipment, walls, and floors.
- Perform tasks under the close supervision of the Driller.
