Innovation Academy Charter School is a tuition‑free, college‑preparatory Massachusetts public charter school serving students in grades 5‑12 from more than 10 communities, including Chelmsford, Lowell, Billerica, Dracut, Groton, Tewksbury, Tyngsboro, and Westford. Social Studies teachers develop project‑based courses that focus on the development of critical thinking, literacy, and communication skills, and the practical application of those skills both within and beyond the humanities classroom.

Successful candidates will be passionate learners and collaborators committed to the school’s mission and to the academic and social‑emotional learning of all students. Teachers serve as advisors to a group of 12‑13 students each year, building strong relationships outside the classroom. IACS offers a strong mentoring program for new teachers and career changers, encouraging continuous professional learning, openness to feedback, and collaboration.
