The role of the School Nurse Leader is to provide a comprehensive school health program for the assessment, evaluation, maintenance, and improvement of the health of IACS students. The School Nurse Leader oversees the Health Office and provides nursing leadership for the district. The School Nurse Leader is responsible for ensuring compliance with all student records, developing and implementing policies and procedures, and managing relationships with the school physician and health professionals.

The School Nurse Leader will also clinically support and supervise the other school nurse.

• Provide a comprehensive school health program for the assessment, evaluation, maintenance, and improvement of student health.
• Oversee the Health Office and provide nursing leadership for the district.
• Ensure compliance with all student records and manage relationships with the school physician and health professionals.
• Develop and implement health-related policies and procedures.
• Clinically support and supervise the other school nurse.

• Required Qualifications:
  • Current Massachusetts licensure as a Registered Nurse {R.N.}
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Minimum two yeasr of experience in school health or related field of nursing
  • Certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and AED
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current DESE license as a school nurse
  • Recent school nurse management experience
• Bachelor degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required
