The Distribution Coordinator is responsible for customer service and support, delivery scheduling and communication. The most critical responsibility is to ensure that orders arrive on-time and customer service is maintained at the highest level possible.
Duties/Responsibilities- Effectively coordinate deliveries and plan schedules, ensuring orders arrive on time while maximizing efficiency as much as possible.
- Maintain the most effective delivery schedules ensuring resources are being maximized and we are controlling cost.
- Maintain regular communication with customers regarding delivery timings, and schedule deliveries to meet customer needs.
- Collaborate closely with the Sales Team to enhance customer satisfaction and address client requirements.
- Oversee critical documents, including invoices, manifests, and cash receipts.
- Monitor and record metrics related to product rejections, delivery rescheduling, and other delivery‑related exceptions.
- Ensure accurate and complete entry of all orders in the METRC system.
- Actively work with drivers and customers to resolve any delivery issues.
- Continuously identify and implement strategies to improve the overall customer experience.
- Follow up on delivery exceptions, report recurrent issues, and ensure effective resolution.
- Address issues raised by customers and sales representatives promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate scheduling boards.
- Assist in the implementation of new software systems and technologies.
- Regularly review open order reports to ensure up‑to‑date and accurate status.
- Must be at least 21 years of age per state law
- Excellent verbal and electronic communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to perform under pressure, meet deadlines, and prioritize
- Has a high attention to detail and strong sense of organization
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ Distribution & Logistics experience
- Working knowledge basic software systems, including Microsoft Office Suites, G Suites, etc
- Working knowledge of METRC and/or Leaf Link software - preferred
- 2+ years Scheduling & Routing experience - Preferred
