Director of Training and Development in Applied Behavior Analysis

The Director of Training and Development in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and evaluation of training programs for ABA practitioners, ensuring adherence to evidence-based practices, ethical standards, and professional development. This role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, enhancing the skills of staff and promoting the application of ABA in various settings. The Director of Training and Development is responsible for the training of our student analysts by providing quality supervision using a curriculum to ensure they successfully pass the BCBA or BCaBA exam.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Curriculum Development:
    • Design and develop comprehensive training curricula that meet the needs of behavior analysts, therapists, and educators.
    • Ensure training content is aligned with current research, ethical guidelines, and best practices in ABA.
  • Training Implementation:
    • Deliver training sessions, initial trainings and monthly trainings, both in-person and online, to promote the understanding and application of ABA principles.
    • Create engaging training materials, resources, and assessments.
  • Supervision and Mentorship:
    • Provide ongoing supervision and support to new behavior analysts and staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
    • Act as a mentor to staff pursuing certification as Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).
  • Assessment and Evaluation:
    • Develop evaluation tools to assess the effectiveness of training programs and make data-driven decisions for improvements.
    • Collect and analyze feedback from participants to enhance training methodologies.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and external partners to promote ABA practices and training initiatives.
    • Communicate training goals and progress to senior leadership and other relevant parties.
  • Policy and Compliance Oversight:
    • Stay current with state regulations, accreditation standards, and ethical guidelines related to ABA training and practice.
    • Ensure training programs comply with licensing and certification requirements.

    Qualifications:
    • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field with a focus on Applied Behavior Analysis.
    • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification is required.
    • A minimum of 5 years of experience in ABA practice with a track record of training and development.
    • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
    • Must reside or willing to relocate to the Metro Atlanta area.
    • Preferred

      Skills:

      Experience in instructional design and adult learning principles.
