Shift: 1st - 6 am to 3 pm. Overtime and Weekends as needed

Pay Rate: Starting at $17/hour

Position Summary

The Machine Maintenance Technician is responsible for the inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of all production machinery and facility equipment. This role is crucial for minimizing downtime and maintaining the efficiency and safety of our operations.

Responsibilities

• Preventative Maintenance (PM): Execute scheduled preventative maintenance tasks on production equipment, including motors, pumps, conveyors, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, to maximize equipment lifespan and reliability.
• Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on complex industrial machinery quickly and effectively.
• Documentation: Accurately document all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage in a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, confined space entry, and material handling guidelines. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with operations staff to schedule repairs and minimize disruption to production.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Technical certification or vocational training in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, or a related field is highly preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in industrial machine maintenance, ideally within a manufacturing, recycling, or heavy industrial environment.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical and motor control systems.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical power transmission systems (gearboxes, chain drives, belts).
• Proven experience with hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders, and work in varied indoor and outdoor environments.

• Availability: Must be willing to work flexible hours, including potential on-call duties, evenings, and weekends as needed.
