Pearls is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team supporting our high-growth business, managing large contracts and mergers and acquisitions activities. Reporting to the VP of Finance, you will work closely with finance and executive leadership to determine and establish processes to support the growth and scalability of our back-office operations. A strong candidate will be highly organized, quick to ramp up, and enjoy the daily challenge of solving complex financial issues.

We are seeking candidates who are local to our headquarters in Tysons Corner, VA, and who are able to be onsite with the team 4-5 days per week.

• Verify, allocate, post and reconcile balance sheet accounts including accounts payable, fixed assets and intercompany
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, coordinating with global accounting team across various business units and external partners as needed
• Prepare necessary documents and materials for tax and financial audits
• Produce error-free accounting and financial reports and present their results to executives (e.g. revenue reports, payroll reports, etc.)
• Respond to tax notices, file tax returns, and coordinate with tax consultants
• Spot errors & trends to suggest ways to improve team performance and efficiency
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
• Ensure revenue recognition according to ASC 606
• Ensure compliance with GAAP principles

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or equivalent required
• Minimum 5+ years of accounting experience, or a CPA with 3+ years of experience
• In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Experience in all phases of financial statement audits
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
• Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, Sage Intacct and Quick Books preferred
• Extensive Microsoft Excel experience including designing and maintaining financial models
• Exceptional organizational skills and ability to independently manage competing priorities
• Ability to proactively spot and remediate potential problems
• Entrepreneurial spirit, eager to make an impact in collaboration with a global team
