We are seeking a Structural Bridge Engineer to join our growing team in Washington, D.C. or Tysons Corner, VA. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated engineering professional to contribute to a variety of bridge and transportation-related structural projects. You ll work in a highly collaborative environment, utilizing state-of-the-art tools and developing digital models that support transformative infrastructure solutions across the region.

Responsibilities
  • Perform structural modeling, analysis, and design for bridges and other transportation infrastructure projects
  • Prepare detailed construction documents, including plans, specifications, estimates, and calculation packages
  • Conduct quality reviews of engineering reports and construction documents
  • Support structural inspections, evaluations, and load capacity ratings
  • Review fabrication drawings and perform construction plan reviews
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals, qualifications packages, and project scoping
  • Provide project coordination support across disciplines and help manage deadlines and deliverables
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and project managers throughout all phases of a project
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative and knowledge-sharing team culture
Skills & Abilities
  • Solid understanding of bridge design standards and structural engineering principles
  • Proficient in at least some structural analysis/design tools such as Mathcad, STAAD Pro, AASHTOWare, LARSA 4D, MDX, SP Column, Merlin

    DASH, etc.
  • Experience with model-based design and tools like:
  • Bentley Open Bridge and Open Roads
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, Infraworks, or Inventor
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and effective in managing multiple tasks
  • Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a highly collaborative team
  • Enthusiastic about mentoring others and contributing to team growth
  • Experience in project/task management
Minimum Qualifications
  • 3–5+ years of experience in structural bridge and/or transportation design
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering (Structural emphasis preferred)
  • EIT certification required; PE license preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months
Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range for this position is $86,000 - $128,000 for the Washington, DC location. This offer is determined based on a number of job-related factors including internal comparators, skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities and geographic location.
