The position of Project Leader 2 (Critical Infrastructure Solutions) is a leadership role responsible for developing and leading project teams to deliver expert solutions across various complex projects and industries. The candidate should have experience managing projects valued between $5M and $20M+, focusing on electrical, critical power, power distribution, and turnkey renovation solutions, including emergency power, lighting, and specialty systems.
The Project Leader 2 will oversee the development, training, and leadership of junior project staff, field superintendents, and trades personnel, ensuring strategic planning, implementation, and project completion.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and effective collaboration within project teams.
- Lead project documentation preparation, including resource planning, layouts, scheduling, and equipment plans.
- Coordinate and lead project kick-off meetings.
- Develop Work Breakdown Structures with properly assigned work packages and resources.
- Conduct site surveys, cost studies, budget forecasting, and manage financial aspects.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and quality improvements.
- Monitor project scope and performance against plans to ensure adherence to budgets and schedules.
- Partner with clients to create and manage project schedules.
- Ensure timely completion of punch-list items, as-built drawings, and employee training materials.
- Maintain positive relationships with all project stakeholders.
- Manage permits, licenses, and inspections to ensure compliance within designated time frames.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- 7+ years with a Master's Degree in Engineering.
- Experience managing electrical projects valued from $500,000 to $10M.
- Proficiency with contract documents, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project management software.
- Knowledge of technical design, blueprints, and project deliverables.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to plan and organize activities effectively.
- Attention to detail, excellent writing, and advanced MS Excel skills; experience with MS Project is a plus.

- Prolonged computer use and sitting.
- Manual dexterity for operating keyboards and manipulating objects.
- Effective listening, speaking, reading, and comprehension skills.
- Ability to apply rules to solve specific problems and understand speech.
