Location:
Tysons Corner, VA
Work Setting: 5 days in office
Salary: 75K-85K
Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fund Accountant with a minimum of 3 years of full-cycle accounting or audit experience to join our team. This role requires expertise in fund accounting and familiarity with providing middle and back‑office support for hedge fund entities. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of financial securities and the ability to excel in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform full-cycle fund accounting, including booking trades and reconciling positions across various financial securities (equities, bonds, options, futures, swaps, etc.).
- Provide middle and back‑office support for hedge fund entities, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions.
- Prepare, review, and maintain financial records and reports related to fund performance and activity.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and fund administrators, to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Utilize and maintain accounting systems (Net Suite) and advanced Excel tools to manage and analyze financial data.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness in all reconciliations and financial statements.
- Stay current on financial markets and hedge fund operations to bring innovative solutions to the organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of fund accounting experience, preferably at a hedge fund administrator or within a similar role at a hedge fund entity.
- Proficiency with Net Suite and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, macros, etc.).
- Strong understanding of financial securities, including equities, bonds, options, futures, and swaps.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A proactive and positive attitude with the ability to adapt to a fast‑paced environment.
- Proven track record of handling complex financial instruments and transactions.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and maintain accuracy under pressure.
