We are seeking a phenomenal leader to become our Development & Engagement Manager at The Watermark Hotel, the all‑suite hotel located in Capital One Center, featuring 300 luxury residential suites.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and administer all training and professional development functions, including creating and developing course content, facilitating training sessions and workshops, and managing corporate and hotel training initiatives.
- Plan and conduct meetings with department managers and team members to review performance trends, develop action plans, and provide recognition.
- Monitor departmental training programs, assist in pre‑shift meetings, execution of job‑skills checklists, and utilization of brand service toolkit training.
- Track, input, maintain, and audit individual training records to ensure full compliance with established corporate standards.
- Develop an annual training calendar and compile periodic reports of training activity.
- Assist with Human Resources functions as needed.
- Manage labor costs, utilize Kronos and Ulti Pro, and apply procurement guidelines to support profitability.
- Manage the workers’ compensation program and ensure Fire & Emergency training is conducted twice annually.
- Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience. - Experience:
Minimum of 2 years in Human Resources, preferably in hospitality or service industry. - Skills:
Strong organizational, communication, facilitation, and strategic thinking abilities. Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment. - Physical Requirement:
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 20 pounds occasionally.
