Overview:
We’re seeking a driven and capable HR Generalist who is ready to take ownership of core HR functions and play a pivotal role within a professional, fast-paced law firm environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary HR contact and take initiative in managing all day-to-day HR operations.
Recruiting (Primary Focus)
Own full-cycle recruitment for legal and professional staff.
Draft and issue offer letters; provide regular hiring updates to firm leadership.
Onboarding & Offboarding
Coordinate and execute onboarding logistics to ensure a smooth and welcoming new hire experience.
Manage offboarding tasks, including exit documentation and coordination with relevant departments.
Benefits Administration
Lead open enrollment efforts at the start of the year.
Add new hires to benefits, process monthly invoices (manual), and oversee HSA contributions.
Collaborate with brokers and vendors to resolve employee questions.
Employee Relations
Support employees with compassion and discretion.
Serve as a trusted advisor to managers on employee issues, using sound judgment rather than just quoting policy.
HR Systems & Compliance
Manage background checks, employment verifications, and HR documentation through Paychex.
Ensure data accuracy and compliance in all administrative processes.
Requirements:
Must-Haves:
3+ years of hands-on HR Generalist experience including recruiting, benefits, performance management, and employee relations.
Professional services or law firm background strongly preferred.
Proven ability to operate independently and take initiative.
Direct experience managing open enrollment and working with benefit vendors.
Comfortable managing manual billing and funding processes for insurance and HSAs.
