ALTERNATE EXPERIENCE General comment on degrees:
Most contracts allow additional experience (4-5 years) in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree. Some contracts give 4-5 years experience credit for a Bachelor's Degree. Some contracts give 2 years experience credit for a Master's Degree. We will work with you to find the right fit.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and develop geospatial software applications
- Process, analyze, and visualize geospatial data
- Ensure the integration of geospatial data with other systems
- Maintain and optimize geospatial databases and tools
- Develop custom algorithms for geospatial analysis
- Collaborate with teams to define software requirements for geospatial projects
- Proficiency in GIS software and tools (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS)
- Strong knowledge of spatial data structures and formats
- Expertise in geospatial programming languages (e.g., Python, R)
- Familiarity with spatial databases (e.g., PostGIS, Spatialite)
- Experience with geospatial web services (e.g., WMS, WFS)
- Knowledge of coordinate systems and projections
- Experience with remote sensing technologies
- Familiarity with cloud-based geospatial platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Earth Engine)
- Ability to automate geospatial workflows
- Knowledge of machine learning for geospatial analysis
- Strong data visualization skills for geospatial data
- Understanding of open‑source geospatial libraries and frameworks
