Description

Chevo is hiring an experienced Federal Management Analyst to join our ICE Student & Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) Fee Management Support (FMS) team. This position provides the opportunity for significant client interaction and involvement in strategic initiatives that directly impact SEVP's mission. Ideal candidates will have experience supporting advanced analytics, risk management frameworks, fee optimization studies, and process improvement initiatives. This position offers a hybrid work environment, with the client site located in Vienna, VA.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, proficiency in advanced data analysis and scripting languages such as R or Python, and experience with Microsoft Power Platform and data visualization tools. This role will be crucial in helping SEVP extract actionable insights from complex datasets, develop sophisticated risk assessment capabilities, and drive strategic business decisions that enhance program effectiveness and compliance oversight.

Key Responsibilities Financial Analysis & Program Support
  • Assist with conducting fee studies and activity-based costing analysis
  • Track and analyze financial data, revenues, and expenditures
  • Support rate analysis and financial impact assessments
  • Contribute to budget execution monitoring and forecasting
Risk Management & Analytics
  • Support development and implementation of risk management frameworks
  • Assist in data analysis to identify patterns and anomalies
  • Contribute to fraud risk assessment activities
  • Maintain and enhance analytical tools and dashboards
Performance Measurement
  • Develop and monitor performance metrics to evaluate program efficiency
  • Support implementation of performance reporting tools
  • Establish quantifiable metrics and performance objectives
  • Conduct historical trend analysis and reporting
Process Improvement & Documentation
  • Support process improvement initiatives and workflow optimization
  • Assist in development of standard operating procedures
  • Conduct process mapping and organizational development activities
  • Leverage automation tools for workflow enhancement
  • Apply scripting with Python or R to improve analytical processes
Advanced Analytics & Data Science
  • Apply analytical techniques including predictive modeling and data mining
  • Assess and implement advanced data analysis methodologies
  • Develop complexity scoring models and analytical tools
  • Support integration of multiple data sources for comprehensive analysis
Visualization & Reporting
  • Prepare clear, concise, and visually compelling reports and presentations
  • Develop and maintain dashboards using business intelligence tools
  • Use data visualization techniques to communicate complex information effectively
  • Create executive-level briefings and analytical reports
Collaboration & Communication
  • Work closely with federal stakeholders to gather, analyze, and communicate key findings
  • Coordinate inter-agency analyses and support audit requests
  • Write detailed documentation and reports tailored to diverse audiences
  • Support stakeholder engagement and knowledge transfer activities
Requirements

Required Qualifications
  • US Citizenship (mandatory for federal engagement).
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, Finance, Data Science, Analytics, or related field
  • 3-5 years of professional work experience.
  • Expertise in Microsoft PowerPoint for creating professional presentations
  • Strong writing skills with ability to produce clear, concise, and audience-tailored content
  • Proficiency in data analysis and willingness to learn advanced business intelligence tools
  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to work with large, complex datasets
Preferred
  • Experience with activity-based costing models and financial forecasting
  • Familiarity with advanced analytical techniques including predictive analytics or machine learning
  • Experience with risk assessment frameworks and compliance activities
  • Previous experience in consulting financial, or program evaluation roles
  • Experience with federal government clients, especially law enforcement or regulatory agencies
  • Familiarity with data visualization best practices and dashboard design
  • Experience with process improvement
