C3 AI is looking for an engineering manager to provide leadership and direction to the Federal Applications software engineering team of bright and ambitious self-starters like yourself. You will be part of a fast-moving organization with highly motivated engineers who tackle challenging and impactful problems. This management position is highly visible, will entail frequent communication and interactions with the senior leadership team, and requires a driven individual to develop and shape the product roadmap and strategic team goals.

This role requires US Citizenship. Active Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance (Secret or higher) is preferred.

• Passionately drive and lead the defense, intelligence, and federal application engineering team to excellence in all aspects.
• Build a cross-functional team to deliver highly innovative applications to surpass industry standards and consistently exceed customer expectations.
• Advocate engineering best practices and ensure high engineering engagement and productivity levels.
• Interface and communicate regularly with senior management and technical architects.
• Train and mentor internal and external team members.
• Be a willing, hands-on contributor during the entire development cycle from conception and design through release.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience with a proven track of the development of the large-scale, cutting-edge, distributed solutions.
• 3+ years of engineering management experience managing highly technical teams.
• Excellent competency in multiple object-oriented programming languages and proven ability to work across languages.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment, willing to dive deep and get things done.
• Project management and resource planning experience.
  
  A disciplined approach to testing and quality assurance.
• US citizen. Security clearance is preferred.
• Prior experience working on defense or intelligence applications preferred.
