Category Manager

We are seeking an experienced Category Manager to develop and execute category strategies that support business growth, profitability, and customer needs. This role will analyze market trends, manage supplier and product relationships, optimize category performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve strategic objectives.

• Develop and implement category strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Analyze market trends, customer needs, competitive activity, and category performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve sales, profitability, and market position.
• Establish category plans, priorities, and performance objectives.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and business partners.
• Evaluate product assortment, pricing, availability, and supplier performance.
• Support negotiations and agreements with key suppliers.
• Identify opportunities for new products, suppliers, and category expansion.

• Monitor category sales, margins, costs, and other key performance indicators.
• Use data and market insights to make informed category decisions.
• Develop reports and recommendations for leadership.
• Manage category budgets and support profitability objectives.

• Partner with sales, marketing, operations, finance, and supply chain teams.
• Coordinate product launches, promotions, and category initiatives.
• Communicate category strategies and performance to key stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement across category management processes.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Several years of experience in category management, merchandising, procurement, or a related commercial role.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.
• Experience managing supplier and product relationships.
• Strong understanding of pricing, margins, market trends, and financial performance.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business analytics tools.

• Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM).
• Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP).
• Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP).
• Project Management Professional (PMP).
• Relevant category management, procurement, or supply chain certifications.

• Salary: $120,000–$150,000 annually
