Overview

Servers to join our award-winning workplace. Provide outstanding restaurant experiences at our multiple in-house restaurants within our luxury senior living residence. • Takes accurate food orders
• Serves food and beverages in multiple restaurant venues with differing styles of service
• Is knowledgeable about food and beverage offerings and can provide recommendations based on guest preferences
• Promptly and accurately closes checks
• Maintains a neat and orderly appearance according to established standards
• Completes related tasks and side work as assigned
• Demonstrates a positive, respectful, and professional team approach and communicates effectively with residents, peers, and managers
• Consistently communicates resident and guest concerns to supervisors and/or management
• Assists in maintaining and achieving departmental sanitation standards and goals

We have positions available for part-time with flexible schedules. Weekend and holiday availability required.

• Excellent interaction and communication skills
• Demonstrates completion of assigned duties through effective teamwork
• Strong hospitality service skills and a passion for interacting with people
• English language proficiency
• 1 year or more of experience as a server in a full-service restaurant

• Prior service experience in dining environment
• Level 4 Lobster Ink Certification
• 2 or more years of server experience in an upscale restaurant
• Event server knowledge and experience
• Foundational level of wine knowledge

Hourly pay range: $23.50 - $25 USD. The base wage is a good faith estimate and may vary by skills, certifications, experience, location, and market changes. The position is eligible to participate in Mather benefit plans and the Employee Appreciation Fund.

The Mather is a Life Plan Community in Tysons, Virginia, for those 62 and better. It is a luxury residence in a walkable urban neighborhood, near the Metro and the DC area. Opened in March 2024, The Mather includes 293 independent living apartment homes, plus assisted living, memory support, skilled nursing, and multiple restaurants, a fitness center, art studio, gardens, and more.
