Overview
Dean|Fluor is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician.
Responsibilities include installation, maintenance, testing, calibration, and commissioning of electrical systems and components. Technicians will work on low, medium, and high voltage systems, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and compliance with manufacturer recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, test, calibrate, and commission electrical systems and components.Act as "Employee in Charge" on certain jobs, planning and executing tasks safely and efficiently.Perform various assignments with some supervision.Interpret one-line diagrams, schematics, and service documents.Maintain personal support equipment, PPE, tools, and test devices.Prioritize safety for oneself and others, adhering to safety policies and procedures.Wear appropriate PPE based on task requirements.Follow Standard Operating Procedures and Switching Plans.Troubleshoot using digital multimeters, clamp meters, power quality meters, infrared scanners, and circuit tracers.Calibrate and commission protective relays.Verify control wiring points.Perform equipment switching, isolation, LOTO, and grounding procedures.Maintain and inspect equipment such as circuit breakers, switch gear, transformers, and associated systems.Follow NETA MTS testing standards.Record test data accurately using Power DB and Maximo.Assist in start-up services for switch gear and electrical systems up to 138 kV.Conduct safety meetings and ensure environmental and safety compliance.Build strong team and client relationships.Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.Minimum of 10 years of relevant, hands-on experience in a similar environment.Leadership skills with ability to schedule and execute work efficiently.Proficiency in reading technical instructions, plans, and schematics.Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, NETA practices, and quality procedures.Ability to evaluate complex electrical systems and perform diagnostics.At least 5 years' experience in facilities maintenance, including data centers or mission-critical environments.Ability to organize workload with minimal supervision.Capability to work in confined spaces, on ladders, and lift heavy equipment.Valid licenses and certifications as required by location.Physical ability to lift at least 100 pounds and perform strenuous activities.Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.Abilities:
Lift at least 100 pounds, and 60 pounds for extended periods.Relocate a 12-foot ladder unaided.Work at heights up to 60 feet on scaffolds, lifts, and ladders.Perform physical activities such as walking, climbing, lifting, and reaching.Good vision (corrected if necessary), color perception, and communication skills.Recognize problems and assess situations to determine solutions.#J-18808-Ljbffr
