Assistant Accountant Job : FVF/AA/03/26 Reporting to the Company Accountant the Assistant Accountant will provide a key role in assisting with the production of accurate accounting information for the Finance team and analysis of monthly results for the business in general.

The Role:

Assist and co-ordinate finance team in preparation of monthly management accounts;
Posting monthly journals and preparing general ledger reconciliations;
Carry out variance analysis v budget and investigate/explain variances;
Conducting financial analysis and providing insights to support decision making;
Responsibility for compliance (VAT & statutory returns);
Assist in the preparation of the information required for the year end audit and annual budget.

The Person :
Will have at least 2 years' experience in a similar role;
Must possess third level finance/business qualification or equivalent. Must have strong IT skills with experience in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel;
Excellent administration and analytical skills, organised and able to prioritise workload;
Ability to work on own initiative and within a busy team;
Ideally have experience of operating computerised accounting software.
