Financial Accountant – Mauritius

What You'll Do
  • Support external audits by preparing accurate working papers, gathering financial documentation, completing transaction sampling, and assisting in testing internal controls to identify risks and improvements.
  • Contribute to month‑end and year‑end close processes, including preparing routine account and balance sheet reconciliations and managing intercompany accounts in a multi‑currency environment.
  • Prepare consolidation journals and assist in drafting Group consolidated financial statements and supporting notes in compliance with IFRS standards.
  • Produce financial and management reports as needed, support intermediate holding company balance sheet preparation, and assist with Group Finance projects.
  • Bring experience in a fast‑paced finance team, strong knowledge of accounting systems (SUN Systems preferred), and solid technical accounting skills (IFRS knowledge desirable).

Qualifications
  • You have a degree qualification (preferred but not essential) and demonstrate a strong foundation in relevant academic learning.
  • You are actively studying towards a recognised professional qualification such as ACCA, ACA, or a similar certification.
  • You are proficient in computer systems, including SUN Systems and the Microsoft Office suite, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
  • You bring experience working within the financial services industry, with an understanding of its processes and environment.
  • You demonstrate solid company, product and market knowledge relevant to financial services, supporting effective performance in the role.
