Clark Wood is delighted to be working with a well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice that is looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant / Semi Senior to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with previous accountancy practice experience who is looking to further develop their career within a supportive and professional environment. The role is available on a full-time basis, although part-time hours will be considered for the right candidate.

The position can be based from either the firm's Swindon or Calne office, with allocated parking available at the Swindon office.

• Preparation and compilation of statutory accounts for a range of clients
• Reviewing accounts and financial information
• Preparation of company tax returns
• Preparation of self-assessment tax returns
• Liaising with clients and responding to queries
• Assisting with bookkeeping assignments where required
• Supporting senior team members with ad hoc accounting and tax work

• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice environment
• A good understanding of accounts preparation and tax compliance
• Experience preparing company accounts and tax returns
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach
• AAT qualified, part-qualified ACCA/ACA, or qualified by experience candidates will all be considered
