Sheridan Maine is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a highly respected firm of Chartered Accountants in Kent for a Personal Tax Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and progressive practice, managing a varied portfolio of clients while delivering both compliance and advisory services.
Working with high-net-worth individuals, business owners and families, you'll play a key role in providing tailored tax advice, identifying planning opportunities and building long-term client relationships.
As Personal Tax Manager, your responsibilities will include:- Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients, including high-net-worth individuals, directors and business owners.
- Overseeing the preparation and review of self-assessment tax returns.
- Delivering personal tax advisory services, including tax planning, inheritance tax, capital gains tax and succession planning.
- Identifying tax planning opportunities and providing commercially focused advice.
- Managing HMRC correspondence, enquiries and disclosures.
- Building trusted relationships with clients and acting as their first point of contact for personal tax matters.
- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the tax team.
- Keeping up to date with changes in UK tax legislation and ensuring clients receive proactive advice.
- CTA qualified, ATT qualified with significant experience, or ACA/ACCA qualified with strong personal tax expertise.
- Previous experience in a personal tax role within an accountancy practice.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK personal taxation, particularly relating to high-net-worth individuals.
- Experience of both compliance and advisory work.
- A proactive approach with the ability to identify tax risks and planning opportunities.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
