Position: Accounts & Bookkeeping Advisor

TPF Recruitment is supporting a highly regarded, multisited firm of chartered accountants in its search for an Accounts & Bookkeeping Advisor to join its Stalbridge office.

This is a varied opportunity for an experienced accountancy practice professional who enjoys working closely with clients and providing a broad range of accounts and bookkeeping services. The successful candidate will work with a diverse portfolio of owner managed businesses, with exposure to agricultural and farming clients available.

Responsibilities will include:

Preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies

Completing bookkeeping and management accounts

Preparing and submitting VAT returns

Supporting clients with cloud accounting software

Maintaining accurate accounting records

Responding to client queries and building strong working relationships

Liaising with colleagues across the wider firm

Assisting with other general practice work where required

Requirements The ideal candidate will:

Have previous experience working within an accountancy practice

Possess a good working knowledge of accounts preparation and bookkeeping

Be confident communicating directly with clients

Be comfortable managing their own workload and meeting deadlines

Have experience or knowledge of agricultural and farming clients, although this is not essential

Be qualified by experience, AAT qualified or studying towards a professional qualification

Salary: £30,000 to £36,000, dependent on experience
