Junior Cost Controller

What you'll be doing
As a Junior Cost Controller, you will be responsible for:

Assisting the project team with cost queries and obtaining appropriate back-up and validation for costs.

Supporting the Commercial function by ensuring costs are correctly allocated and producing weekly cost reports.

Supporting the commercial team and wider project team with additional financial and cost-control activities.

Supporting the Finance Manager and Commercial Lead with ad-hoc analysis and reporting.

Supporting the link between Commercial project reporting and Financial project reporting,
Who we're looking for
We’re looking for someone who is:

Highly motivated, proactive and practical in their approach.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced project environment and delivering within agreed timescales.

Able to thrive in a busy environment and enjoys taking on new challenges.

An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.

Highly organised and confident working on their own initiative.

Able to review and prioritise tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Confident using IT systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Experienced in using Oracle R12 or a similar accounting/project finance system would be advantageous, although this is not essential.

Keen to develop their understanding of project cost control and the relationship between Commercial and Financial reporting.
