A successful, privately owned automotive group is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their Swindon team. This is a standalone role on-site, supported by a wider Group Accounts function, making it ideal for someone who enjoys ownership of their workload while still having a strong support network around them.
No motor trade experience is required. Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, Bookkeeping, or similar role would be beneficial.
Key Responsibilities
Processing and reconciling daily bank transactions
Investigating unmatched receipts and payments
Posting cashbook entries and journals
Completing daily bank reconciliations
Processing commission statements and invoices
Reviewing debtor, creditor and suspense accounts
Resolving discrepancies and maintaining accurate financial records
Supporting management accounts processes and general accounts administration
About You
Previous accounts or finance administration experience
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Comfortable using computerised accounting systems and Microsoft Office
Able to manage workloads and work to deadlines
A proactive and methodical approach to work
