The Receptionist will provide high-quality administrative and reception support for patients attending Atherleigh Park Hospital and the Wigan Home Based Treatment Team. The role includes welcoming and checking in patients within clinic areas, ensuring a positive and efficient first point of contact. The post holder will accurately record patient attendance and clinical outcomes using the PARIS system, supporting smooth clinic operations and contributing to effective patient care.
Mainduties of the job
The post holder will be expected to:
- Provide an effective appointment-booking service to ensure patients can arrange future appointments before leaving the department.
- Deliver a confidential, efficient, and patient-focused reception service, acting as a key point of contact for patients, visitors, and external agencies.
- Communicate professionally and courteously with the general public, nursing and medical staff, and other administrative and clerical colleagues across the Trust.
- Ensure all reception processes and administrative tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner to support the smooth running of the department and maintain a high-quality service for all users.

- Pay Enhancements 30% additional for Evenings (8pm onwards) and Saturdays and 60% additional for Sundays and Bank holidays.

- 2+ years of administration background
- GCSE C or above in IT, Maths and English
- Experience of working within NHS
