Role Overview

The Person al Assistant will provide high‑level, proactive support to the Managing Director, ensuring the smooth running of daily operations, effective time management, and seamless coordination across business activities. The role requires exceptional organisational skills, discretion, and the ability to anticipate needs in a fast‑paced environment.

This is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract, offering a salary of £45,000 per annum, with hybrid working arrangements to support a balanced and flexible working pattern.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage the MD’s diary, schedule meetings, coordinate travel, and ensure all engagements are fully prepared with relevant documentation.

* Act as the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, handling enquiries, drafting correspondence, and maintaining professional communication on behalf of the MD.

* Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, track actions, and ensure follow‑up across teams and partners.

* Support day‑to‑day business operations, including document preparation, report formatting, and maintaining organised filing systems.

* Assist with ongoing projects, research tasks, and business initiatives, ensuring deadlines are met and information is accurately presented.

* Handle sensitive information with absolute discretion and maintain a high level of professionalism.

* Build strong working relationships across the organisation and with external partners to support the MD’s strategic objectives.

Skills and Experience

* Proven experience in a PA, EA, or senior administrative role supporting a senior leader.

* Experience working in a similar engineering, technical services, or operational environment, or within the NHS, would be highly beneficial.

* Strong organisational and time‑management abilities, with the capacity to prioritise competing demands.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* High level of discretion, integrity, and professionalism.

* Confident using Microsoft Office and other productivity tools.

* Ability to work independently, take initiative, and anticipate needs.

* Strong attention to detail and a proactive, solution‑focused mindset.
