Group Co‑Facilitator Volunteer
Location:
HAGA Seven Sisters Rd, London N15 6H
Time: 4 hours per week
About the roleWaythrough provides specialist support across mental health, alcohol, drugs and related areas. This volunteer role combines group co‑facilitation with general administrative support across the service.
Responsibilities- Group co‑facilitation:
Co‑facilitate regular group sessions alongside a Group Worker. - Welcoming participants and helping new participants feel settled.
- Support sharing of group agreements, including confidentiality and respect.
- Encourage participation and inclusive discussion, while respecting individual choice.
- Offer appropriate emotional support within the boundaries of the volunteer role.
- Observe group dynamics and raise any concerns with staff, including safeguarding concerns.
- Support the planning, delivery and review of group sessions with staff.
- With training and support, potentially lead parts of sessions or whole session.
- Provide general administrative support to the service, not limited to group work.
- Support reception‑style or front‑of‑house tasks where appropriate (e.g. welcoming people, signposting, meet and greet in waiting area).
- Support the team with preparing materials, resources or paperwork.
- Support communication tasks such as preparing information packs.
- Use basic IT systems and databases, in line with training and permissions.
- Carry out other reasonable admin tasks that support the smooth running of the service.
