Are you a highly organised and professional individual looking for a Receptionist role where you can be the first point of contact in a busy office environment, providing excellent customer service and administrative support within a respected regional business?
We are working in partnership with a well-established house building organisation to recruit a Receptionist to join their Teesside office. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and friendly individual to take ownership of front‑of‑house operations and provide essential administrative support across multiple departments.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast‑paced office environment, takes pride in delivering excellent customer care, and is looking for a stable, part‑time opportunity with flexibility and variety.
You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day‑to‑day running of reception and front‑of‑house operations, acting as the first point of contact for visitors, calls, and general enquiries, while supporting wider administrative functions across the business.
What You’ll Be Doing:- Managing front‑of‑house reception duties, ensuring all visitors are greeted professionally and efficiently
- Operating the switchboard, answering and directing telephone calls in a polite and timely manner
- Maintaining a presentable and welcoming reception area at all times
- Coordinating incoming deliveries and notifying relevant departments promptly
- Organising and booking meeting rooms, ensuring facilities and refreshments are arranged as required
- Providing general administrative and secretarial support across the business as needed
- Handling incoming emails and enquiries via the company website, ensuring timely and professional responses
- Supporting accurate processing of documents, paperwork, and internal correspondence
- Maintaining confidentiality when handling sensitive information
- Assisting with office organisation and ad hoc tasks as directed by senior staff
- Providing reception cover during lunch breaks, holidays, and periods of absence
- Delivering a consistently high level of customer service to all internal and external stakeholders
- Previous experience in a receptionist, front‑of‑house, or office administration role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Confident using Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to work independently using initiative as well as part of a team
- Professional, friendly, and customer‑focused approach
- Good time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Flexible approach to working hours to provide cover when required
- Self‑motivated with a proactive attitude towards supporting office operations
- Part‑time role (16 hours per week)
- Based in Teesside
- Competitive salary – Pro Rota (DOE)
