Office Administrator/ Coordinator, Clerical
Location: Finstown
Building a sustainable tomorrow. BAM UK & Ireland's Infrastructure segment is looking to recruit a friendly and polite Receptionist for our Finstown office. You will ensure efficient day‑to‑day running of the office along with supporting managers and employees through a variety of tasks, ensuring that all duties are completed accurately and delivered with high quality and in a timely manner.
Your team- Location:
Finstown, Orkney, Scotland - Contract:
12‑month fixed term, 42.5 hours a week or Part Time option also
- First point of contact for our project office in Finstown
- Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office
- Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office
- Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable
- Provide basic and accurate information in‑person and via phone/email
- Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail/deliveries
- Maintain office security by arranging and allocating access passes to full‑time staff and monitoring visitors to the office
- Onboarding for induction through M‑Site, managing access and updated records, and filing any paperwork records
- Update notice boards and comms screens with relevant information
- Manage meeting room booking system
- Ensure meeting rooms are kept tidy and presentable
- Support project teams and support staff with travel and accommodation bookings
- Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, and minutes
- Any other administrative duties as required
- General administration experience with good IT skills (proficient in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent organisation with strong attention to detail ensuring records are maintained
- Ability to prioritise effectively
- Enthusiastic and outgoing personality
- Good interpersonal skills – must be a team player
- Ability to have a full‑time presence in the Finstown office
- Previous Front of House and Office administration experience would be desirable
