Position: Medical Secretary (WBH) AA

Overview

An opportunity has arisen for a medical secretary to support the Community Paediatric Service. The role requires excellent administration skills, preferably within the NHS environment, strong organisational and communication abilities, and the ability to work proactively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

The medical secretary will carry out a variety of administrative duties to support the Community Paediatric Service, including managing appointments, handling patient communication, maintaining records, and using Microsoft Office packages efficiently. A flexible approach is essential to meet competing demands and priorities.

Requirements
  • Excellent administration skills, preferably gained within the NHS.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with the initiative to work independently.
  • Good knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages; familiarity with NHS systems is an advantage.
  • Will becoming a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme before appointment.
  • Legal right to work in the United Kingdom; non‑UK or Irish nationals must confirm eligibility.
