Transport Co-ordinator

BJS Haulage are growing and diversifying and now we have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Co-ordinator to join our busy team. We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic person to support the Transport Team and Operations Manager in a range of administrative activities and assist with the day-to-day operation of a busy and diverse Transport Department.

Monday to Friday Hours to be confirmed, Days.

Tasks include:

• Briefing and de-briefing HGV Drivers when they arrive at the Transport Desk
• Assisting drivers with job information and troubleshooting problems, escalating to the Transport Manager & Operations Manager if required
• Providing administrative support to the Transport Team & Operations Manager
• Generating and sending correspondence via email
• General administration duties such as filling, completing forms etc.
• Use of in-house systems and google sheets to input, collate and produce reports

Attributes required:

• A strong working knowledge of Office based IT including Outlook, Word and Excel
• Strong written, numerical, and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail
• Able to work within a team and individually
• Adaptability and resilience in a pressurised environment
• Excellent Customer service skills
• Good work ethic
• Previous experience in the Transport Industry would be an advantage
