Transport Administrator

Location: Saint Ives

We are looking for a Transport Administrator to join our team.

How will you contribute?

* General administration duties in-line with Transport legislation, company policy and procedures

* To work with, assist, and report to the Transport Management team

* Ensuring good standards of Health and Safety processes are followed by yourself and the team

* Daily execution of the plan, ensuring all collections are made on time in full and accurate completion of daily Transport paperwork

* Regular communication with the planning department of any delays / lateness / issues

* Primary point of contact for customer enquiries / changes to schedule, ensuring these are logged accurately

* Utilising the Transport Management System

* Managing drivers’ hours, infringements and control of Tachographs

* Managing and controlling sub-contraction requirement.

* Assist with the management of vehicle defects through the VOR process

* Good knowledge of driver’s hours and WTD.

* To be able to effectively communicate with customer, suppliers and colleagues.

* Able to work under pressure whilst maintaining a professional attitude.

* Must have a flexible approach and be willing to carry out varied tasks positively, reliably and accurately.

* An excellent team player, able to work on own initiative and make decisions.

* Good general PC skills.

* Working knowledge of Transport Management Systems would be advantageous although full training will be given
