Vehicle Technician

Overview

Vehicle Technician role in Canterbury.

Hours:

8:30am–5:00pm, Monday to Friday; 1 in 3 Saturdays 8:30–12:00, paid as overtime. Salary:
Basic up to £45k + bonus and overtime. . We are seeking a skilled and experienced Vehicle Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of vehicle makes and models for our client’s main dealership in Canterbury.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of automotive systems and the ability to use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex problems. A passion for cars and a commitment to delivering high-quality work are essential.

• Diagnose and repair vehicle problems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues
• Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used
• Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques

• Some experience as a vehicle technician and/or a relevant and up-to-date qualification
• MOT qualification would be a huge bonus
• Strong pride in work, incredible attention to detail, and an eye for spotting issues
• Full valid UK driving licence
• A stocked toolbox for work
