Master Technician

Darlington

Salary: up to £42,000 basic per annum plus bonus, OTE £48,000

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm, Saturday mornings on rota

My client, a well-established and reputable main dealership, is recruiting an experienced Master Technician to join their friendly and professional aftersales team in Darlington. Role Overview – Master Technician
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle issues, including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks (e.g., oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections)
  • Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex problems
  • Maintain accurate records of all work and parts used
  • Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and recommend appropriate repairs
  • Keep the work area clean and well‑organised
  • Stay current with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques
Requirements – Master Technician
  • Proven experience as a Master Technician, with a relevant qualification (e.g., NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair)
  • MOT qualification is a significant advantage
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent diagnostic skills
  • Must have a well equipped toolbox appropriate for workshop duties
