Junior Vehicle Technician – Family Run Garage, Hawkhurst

We are recruiting for a Junior Vehicle Technician / Trainee Mechanic / Apprentice Technician to join a well-established, family-run independent garage in Hawkhurst.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or develop their career in the automotive industry. You will be working alongside experienced technicians in a supportive workshop where hands‑on training and progression are a key focus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with servicing, maintenance, and repairs of vehicles
  • Support qualified technicians with mechanical and diagnostic work
  • Carry out basic workshop duties under supervision
  • Learn to use diagnostic equipment and workshop tools

    Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
  • Follow health and safety procedures at all times
  • Develop skills through structured on‑the‑job training
Requirements
  • Interest in becoming a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic
  • Basic mechanical understanding or automotive training (preferred but not essential)
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Ability to work well within a small team
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential at junior level)
