* Job Overview
* We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Motor Vehicle Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles (mainly Landrovers) ensuring they meet safety and performance standards.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for automotive mechanics and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. The position involves working with modern diagnostic tools and equipment, contributing to the efficient operation of our service centre.

Working hours Monday - Friday. 8.30 am - 6pm (42 hours per week)

* Responsibilities
* * Conduct comprehensive inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools

* Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and other vehicle components

* Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out assembly, disassembly, and repair tasks

* Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams to facilitate accurate repairs

* Carry out welding and equipment repair as needed to restore vehicle integrity

* Assist in the maintenance of workshop tools and machinery to ensure optimal operational condition

* Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures and addressing client concerns professionally

* Undertake heavy lifting when required to move parts or equipment safely within the workshop

* 42 Hours per week

* Skills
* * Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose complex vehicle issues accurately

* Landrover experience desirable

* Proficiency in reading schematics and technical diagrams

* Experience with assembly, disassembly, and repair of automotive systems using hand tools and power tools

* Knowledge of maintenance procedures for various vehicle components

* Ability to perform welding and equipment repairs effectively

* Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude towards clients

* Physical strength for heavy lifting tasks and manual handling of vehicle parts or equipment

* Familiarity with vehicle diagnostics software is required

Pay: £38,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
