HGV Technician Vacancy!
Our client, a reputable Commercial Vehicle Main Dealer in Tamworth, is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join their dynamic workshop team. This permanent role offers an excellent opportunity for qualified HGV Technicians to develop their careers within a well-established dealership that prioritises ongoing training, quality facilities, and long-term progression. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of Heavy Goods Vehicles, ensuring all work is completed to manufacturer and industry standards.

- Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using diagnostic equipment
- Repairing and replacing vehicle components as required
- Ensuring work is completed to manufacturer and DVSA compliance standards
- Maintaining accurate service and repair records
- Supporting roadside breakdown assistance on a rota basis
- Working efficiently independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Technician, or similar role
- NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent qualification
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced workshop environment
- HGV licence is advantageous but not essential
- Experience in franchised commercial vehicle environments is beneficial
